The 2010 Nutt Travel Ulster MX2 & Ulster Quadcross Championship kicks-off again at Tinker Hill
After the long break since round one at Easter, the 2010 Nutt Travel Ulster MX2 & Ulster Quadcross Championship awakens again with round two promoted by Quad Racing Ireland at its superb Tinker Hill track near Newry, this Saturday, May 22.

In the most competitive series on the island, the Championship is currently led by Martin Barr on his PAR Honda on maximum points with Gordon Crockard six points adrift on his Norman Watt Kawasaki. However, it is unlikely these two riders will be at Tinker Hill due to UK commitments but third place man, Comber's Wayne Garrett on the TSR KTM will certainly be in attendance hoping to regain the title he lost last year to Richard Bird.
One point behind Wayne is a resurgent Robert Hamilton, the Portavogie man coming back from two traumatic years plagued with knee injuries is showing good form again on the G&G Ross Yamaha with support from ex Champion David White.
Defending Champion Richard Bird is a further two points back on his Norman Watt/ KTM, the Lisburn man always goes well at this venue, as seen in last years titanic struggle with Wayne Garrett which was one of the highlights of the 2009 season.
Hot on the heels of the ‘old guard' are young TSR KTM team-mates Sean Devlin and Michael McCammond from, with AJ Plumbing team-mates Jason Garrett and David Gorman hoping to show well at their ‘home' track.
The Grade B class is led jointly by Craig Browne on his KTM and Andrew Gill.
In the Quadcross Pro Class, the two Davids, Cowan and Wray lead the way on 45 and 43 points respectively, with reigning Champion Michael McAneny in third with 37, local man Sean Goss on 35 and a host of familiar names all in the top ten, including Ricky Toye, Jonathan Kelly and Terence Mackin.
Turning to the Semi Expert Class, this is led by Gareth Hawthorne on maximum points, with Kevin Gormley, Ryan Woodburn, Stephen Moore and Andrew Walsh all in hot pursuit.
Grade C Quadcross is a closer affair with only four points separating Ryan Montague from second placed Norman Bell with Ryan Lowndes, David Keller and Mark Pearson all within striking distance of the podium. Let's not forget Chris Hills who had a second race DNF at Desertmartin, and he will be a danger man at Tinkerhill on the form he showed in race one at round one.
Racing starts at 11am at the Tinker Hill circuit, one of the most atmospheric and picturesque circuits in the country, found on the A1 just north of Newry City heading for Belfast, entrance is £5 and under 14's go free.
