MANSFIELD Maun stage round three of the Class C & D ACU National Trials Championships, at Bracken Rocks, on Saturday, where three riders are in the Class C frame for victory, writes BARRY ROBINSON.Jack Price won the West of England, on Dartmoor, on a dab, then dipped a little at South Shropshire behind Dan Peace. He has ridden right through the winter months and managed to deal with icy Spen Valley trial at Tong where many young riders struggled.
Meanwhile Billy Bolt uses the second half of the throttle on his Beta 80, and gets away with some wild rides. Interesting inclusions in the class are Class C National Girls champions Nikita Smith and Hannah Richardson. Meanwhile Class D will feature Cornish visitor Toby Martyn and Jack Peace who share the standings on 37 points.
ON Sunday East Midland Racing Association take over for the fourth round of the Class A and B championship. Jack Sheppard ruled Bracken and it's mud in early March and has trained hard at Holloway this week, it could be a repeat of the opening round in the series. Richard Sadler, Kent's Chris Short, Isle of Man hope Josh Brain and Lakelander Will Brockbank will joust for results.
In Class B Chris Stay rode out of his socks at the in March to win from Jack Welch and Jack Howell, but his mate George Gosden blasted the Isle of Man and Otter Vale where Derbyshire ace Luke Walker was a key player.
BOTH rounds will kick-off at 11am, and as this is one of the centre's major events of the year, they are keen to make the day a success, but the organisers do need some help manning the 12-section course, therefore they would be most grateful if anyone out there would spare a day to help observe a section.
