With the British Youth Nationals due to kick of in two months time, series organiser Gareth Hockey has issued the following press release.

Milton MX Park in Northamptonshire plays host to the first ever British Youth Nationals round on Saturday and Sunday April 21/22, with more than 180 competitors across all five classes expected to line up behind the starting gate.

As well as hosting the inaugural British Youth Nationals round, Milton MX Park is also the venue for round four of this year's Maxxis British Championship. The track is a challenging one, that always provides close and exciting racing, but where safety and fun are equally important.

"We switched the venue of the first round of the British Youth Nationals after discussions with competitors and their families, many of whom wanted to see a better mix of recognised youth venues and British Championship tracks on the calendar,” explains Gareth Hockey, Director of RHL Activities.

"With the British Youth Nationals we're looking to develop young talent, but the riders and their families are a very important part of this process, which is why we're happy to discuss any aspect of the series with them, including the tracks we'll visit during the season.”

"Milton MX Park is the perfect venue to kick off the British Youth Nationals series. It's a British Championship track and the British Youth Nationals is a British Championship series, so it's a perfect fit.”

Entries for the first ever British Youth Nationals series have been rolling in, with the Open Class already boasting a full grid. A limited number of spaces are still available in the other classes, but full grids are expected before entries officially close on March 31.

To secure an entry for what promises to be the premier youth series in the United Kingdom, and the only one where the winner of each class will be crowned as British Champion, riders should either download the entry form from www.rhlactivities.com or call RHL Activities on 01873-840640. Entry forms for the full season and for individual events are available.

"We're already well underway with the preparations for round one of the series, even though it's still nearly two months away. The Open Class is already completely full, with the other classes filling up quickly too, so we're looking forward to a full field at Milton.”

"The British Youth Nationals hasn't just proved popular with competitors, we've also had a lot of interest from companies looking to sponsor the series. We are working together with a number of companies, from outside and inside the motorcycle industry, and hope to announce new sponsors shortly.”

"It's our aim to work closely with the ACU to make the British Youth Nationals the premier youth series in the United Kingdom, as well as a breeding ground for future British world champions,” concluded Hockey.
