Zac is an inspiration

EVERY once in a while there are people who inspire others, people like Jeremy McGrath, Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart. Riders that through their dedication, hard work and raw ability command respect of others. There is a rider in this country who in the opinion of Corsham SSC is more inspirational than Jeremy, Ricky, and Bubba. He doesn't ride in the AMA, he doesn't ride GPs, he rides Youth motocross and his name is Zac Pomphrey.
Zac rides with just one arm and has overcome a huge physical disability to compete in the sport he loves.
He has to operate his throttle, clutch and front-brake with his left hand. Zac doesn't make a big deal of it, he just gets on with the job and refines his riding style. Anyone turning up to watch Zac would find it impossible to pick him out amongst the other riders. The smooth style he has developed has seen him become a seriously strong competitor.
Zac has recently been nominated for two awards in the Young Sportsman Of The Year competition, sponsored by British Aerospace.
In the first category Zac was one of only eight candidates, some of which were Olympic standard athletes, while in the second category Zac was nominated for Young Disabled Sportsman Of The Year, which he won.
On behalf of everyone, Corsham SSC and Tormarton Moto Park would like to congratulate Zac on what is the first of many awards, nobody deserves it more than him.
