All-new Radian EXR Unveiled
By Team TMX on 19th May 26
Dutch manufacturer Radian has unveiled its first production machine, the EXR, positioning it as the first truly competition-ready electric enduro bike – designed not just to participate, but to replace combustion machinery at the sharp end of racing.
Electric off-road bikes aren’t new but the problem with them has always been the same – range and recharge time. Radian’s answer is not bigger batteries alone but a rethink of how energy is delivered trackside.

At the centre of the EXR is the brand’s patent-pending InfiniPack system – a rapidly swappable battery design that allows a full change in under 30 seconds, with no tools required. The curved battery shape, which gives the company its name, is engineered for a natural lifting motion and helps centralise mass within the chassis.
In practical terms, that means riders can treat batteries like fuel stops rather than waiting around for recharges. While one pack is in use, another can be charging in Radian’s portable InfiniDock station.
The EXR’s stats are impressive – 70hp electric motor running at up to 14,000 RPM delivering 1060Nm at the rear wheel. Power delivery is instant, as expected, with Radian leaning heavily on tunability. Through a companion app, riders can tailor throttle response and power characteristics – whether that’s precise, low-speed control for hard enduro or a more aggressive delivery for sand and high-speed terrain.

The headline figure is an 8.6kWh Endurance battery, claimed to deliver between 60–115km at race pace, or up to seven hours of riding depending on conditions. A smaller Sprint pack (5.8kWh) will follow, shaving weight down to 113kg for riders prioritising agility over outright duration. Even in Enduro trim, the EXR tips the scales at a claimed 125kg, putting it firmly in line with modern four-stroke enduro machinery.
Unlike many electric off-roaders that adapt existing platforms, the EXR is a clean-sheet design. Its full aluminium chassis doubles as a thermal management system, dissipating heat from the drivetrain while maintaining rigidity and precision.
Componentry is what you’d expect at this level – KYB suspension, Brembo brakes, and, on the Founders Edition, Haan wheels with Excel A60 rims.

There are also some genuinely practical touches. The EXR features integrated Smart Storage within the subframe, allowing riders to carry tools, spares or even an onboard charger without needing a backpack. Radian plans to release 3D-printable designs so users can create their own inserts.
Interestingly, the EXR won’t be limited to closed-course competition. It will be delivered with full road homologation, widening its appeal beyond pure racers.
Enduro is just the starting point. Radian says the platform will expand into motocross and supermoto, suggesting a modular architecture designed to underpin multiple disciplines.
Radian’s credentials aren’t purely theoretical. The team’s roots lie in Electric Superbike Twente, which claimed the 2018 MotoE championship in its debut season. That race-first mindset is clearly baked into the EXR’s development.

The company is also making strong claims around ownership with up to 70% lower running costs and maintenance compared to combustion equivalents. Whether that holds up in real-world racing conditions remains to be seen but it’s a key part of the pitch.
The EXR is expected to begin shipping in Q4 2027, initially in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, before a wider European rollout.
Pricing starts from €14,450, with reservations now open via Radian’s website - www.rideradian.com.
We’ve seen plenty of electric off-road concepts and niche machines over the years, but the EXR feels like a more serious attempt to crack the core issue of usability in a race environment. If the battery swap system works as seamlessly as claimed - and the performance figures translate to the dirt - Radian might well be building something that will change the sport forever.
But the real test, as always, will come when it lines up at a race.
