Billy Bolt ready to race EnduroGP of Wales

Husqvarna Factory Racing star Billy Bolt will make his eagerly anticipated return to competition this weekend, lining up as a wildcard entry at the 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship finale in Rhayader, Wales.
The six-time FIM SuperEnduro World Champion will contest the Enduro3 class on home soil as he marks his racing comeback following the hand injury that forced him to cut short his FIM Hard Enduro World Championship campaign.
Bolt began 2026 in imperious form, securing a sixth straight SuperEnduro crown after another season of indoor domination. Turning his attention outdoors, the Brit opened his Hard Enduro campaign with a runner-up finish at Alestrem in France before battling through injury to claim a gritty fifth place at Extreme XL Lagares in Portugal.
Before injury struck, Bolt had also been using sprint enduro events in Wales as part of his training programme, making his EnduroGP return a fitting homecoming after several months focused on recovery.
Racing his familiar Husqvarna TE 300, Bolt will make a one-off wildcard appearance in Enduro3. The Yorkshireman has previous EnduroGP experience and is relishing the opportunity to compete in front of a passionate home crowd, with the familiar Welsh terrain offering the perfect backdrop for his return.
His SuperEnduro pedigree should prove especially valuable during Friday evening’s Super Test, where the short, sharp battle for outright pace could provide an early opportunity to make his mark.
The EnduroGP of Wales takes place in Rhayader from August 7-9, with the Super Test kicking off the weekend’s action on Friday evening.
“I’m very happy to be back on the bike after such a long time away,” said Billy. “It’s been a tough few months with my hand taking much longer to heal than we expected, so I’ve missed a lot of time and actually had more than three months away from riding.
“I’m really excited to use this weekend to have some fun, enjoy the home crowd and get the ball rolling again. I would have loved to have arrived here fully fit and with a proper enduro training base behind me to push for the best result possible, but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be this year.
“Let’s see how the dates fall next year! Thanks to all the fans and my team for their patience over the last few months. I’m extremely motivated and working hard to be back winning races in the second half of the year. See you in Wales!”
