It’s not often you find a foreign race team running an entirely British rider line-up but that’s exactly what we have with the JET Fantic Racing Team who are supporting Jane Daniels, Jed Etchells and Harry Edmondson in the 2023 FIM EnduroGP World Championship.
Team manager Franco Mayr has pulled together the three young Brits purely based on their talent, drive and determination and is expecting great things from them as they’re all proven winners on the world stage.
Current Youth world champion Edmondson is promoted to the J1 class for 2023 The 22-year-old – son of four-time world champion Paul Edmondson – moves on from racing the two-stroke Fantic XE125 to the more powerful four-stroke Fantic XEF250.
Jane Daniels won the 2022 women’s world championship by winning all eight races. The 28-year-old from Wigan will look to repeat that whitewash in 2023, again riding a Fantic XEF250.
Jed Etchells, 23, third in the J1 world championship in 2022 and part of the ISDE-winning British World Team, returns to the J1 class where he joins Edmondson.
The three competed in the opening round of the Campionati Assoluti d'Italia Enduro at Andora and were happy with their results – as was team manager, Matthew Savi.
“It was a good start to the season for all the team riders,” he said. “Jane Daniels got two very good results, Jed Etchells is improving day by day and will surely arrive prepared for the start of the world championship while Harry Edmondson is getting used to the change of bike and has to be very patient and determined at the moment.”
