Edge set for Ripon weekend

Edge Offroad are set to run The Long Edge 6 Hour Solo and Team Cross Country event at a new farmland venue near Ripon on Bank Holiday weekend, August 26/27.
Markenfield Hall is set in a countryside location not far from Ripon town centre with 600 acres of good open going.
First is the ever popular practice day on the Saturday and with the venue being so vast, the Edge crew anticipate it to be around the 20 minute mark per lap.
Cost for the practice day is just £30 pre booked, adults and kids, don't miss it!
There are also plans in the pipeline to have some extra fun on the Saturday evening.
There is a small fee of £10 in the pot per rider to compete in a grass track-type event in one of the massive fields that the team have at their disposal.
You can only do this event if you participate in the practice day or are riding on the Sunday.
You do need to book in for this. If there is no interest, it will not take place.
On the Sunday, first off will be the Kids at 8.30am.
They will have a Two-Hour Iron Man and Team event to contend with, but on a shorter lap to what the adults will be doing.
Once they have finished it will be the turn of the Adults who have the opportunity to do the Iron Man, Two-Man or three-Man Team event.
Please note, at present the Three-Man Team has not created a lot of interest, so if this doesn't pick up then the idea will be dropped.
The Solo Six-Hour Iron Man is £80 pre booked.
The Two-Man Team is £100 pre-booked and Three-Man Team is £150 pre booked. Day Licences are £5.
The paddock area is a large, flat, hard grass field which is ideal for camping, it'll be great for the kids to play out too.
This area will be for signing on, paramedic and medical services, on-site catering, toilets and camping.
Camping is available from Friday evening until Monday morning, at no cost.
The Edge caterer will be staying open later on Saturday evening with the normal food on offer, with a few extras for tea.
Off the ground barbecue are acceptable but camp fires are not allowed.
