Billy Bolt will make his Erzberg debut in May with direct support and guidance from mentor and enduro guru Julian Stevens.

This will be Billy's second international Enduro ride having successfully competed at Ales Trem in January on a 125cc bike, however at Erzberg he will ride on his regular KTM 300 machine.

After very positive showings in all his UK races this season Billy is well on track to put in a solid ride in the worlds biggest Hard Enduro race, he will also contest the new Electric bike Endurocross race scheduled at the event on a KTM Freeride-E.

"I am really motivated for Erzberg, I have been busy studying all the videos and the event looks amazing and will suit my my style of riding, big rocks and lots of them, I can't wait.” Said Billy.

Of course it's an event that demands a lot of experience which I don't have at the moment, but I have Julian with me who knows the place and race as good as anyone so I don't see any reason why we can't make a solid result.

I'm starting to feel very comfortable on the enduro bike now, every week my speed and fitness improves, so hopefully it will be enough at the end of May to run with the best.”

Julian Stevens: "Billy has shown great potential in the first half of the year and is improving faster than expected, so we decided he is ready to tackle the Iron Giant.

"There is nothing there that should trouble him too much, he has exceptional trials skills and the strength to match if it goes wrong.

Also his speed has really improved, now in Hard Enduro it's not enough to be a trials specific guy, you need to have very good enduro speed to run at the front and the events have become races and no longer speed trials.

The younger riders are bringing new and a wider range of techniques to the game.

But the important thing for Billy is experience for the future, get to learn the races and see the level of competition, there is nothing better than race time.”
