The second weekend of sprinting in the ACU GBXC British Sprint Championship is fast approaching, on the final day of April and the first of May.

Following a blistering opening event from Brad Freeman and Steve Holcombe, the battle of the season so far as they matched each other into the hundredths of a second, both riders will be out for overall dominance although there were some terrific battle across all classes, not just the Championship riders.

With Championship, Expert and Clubman classes broken down to E1, E2 and E3 the competition will once again be fierce.

The venue for the third and fourth rounds, H2O near Selattyn, Oswestry, is already being prepared for two transponder-timed tests over terrain that will provided an excellent weekend of racing to consolidate the fantastic start of the series at Rogers Hill Raceway in Dorset last month.

H2O is huge and has plenty of room for two completely different types of test, the MX track is massive and intimidating but the Extreme test will be the defining test of the weekend, depending on just how tough Paul Edmondson decides to make it.

One slight change is that racing will begin at 10.30am, with a sighting lap for all riders, on Saturday April 30 to ensure that all riders get the maximum out of the day and the event finishes at a decent time.

Sunday will start at 9.30am, with a sighting lap for all riders. So, venue is H2O on April 30 and May 1.

The postcode is SY10 7PA.

Pre-paid entry costs for the weekend is £100 for two days or £60 for one day.

There will be transponder timing at all events for all riders.

Entries are coming in well so if you intend riding please call 01543 370070 to book in.
