By TMX Archives on 10th Jul 16
After some unplanned late changes to the scheduled venue for round five of the Rock Oil Championship, RAW Enduro have confirmed that the awesome Carlton Grange Plantation, just outside Helmsley, will host this latest event on July 16 /17
Carlton Grange will be getting the full RAW makeover in the week leading up to the event. The Rock Oil championship is totally about finding the best rider across all kinds of terrain and tracks, Helmsley is no exception, its flowing woodland course is wider and safer than ever. RAW are also building a small but testing log section to run just behind the start area which should provide good entertainment for onlookers. There will be a longer chicken route around for those not so brave.
Championship points are reaching the critical stage across many classes, RAW wont be hounding riders to enter the event, it will run regardless of how many pre enter.
Avoid the ques at signing on by booking online, fastrack signing on means no hassle on the day of the race.
A hard-standing paddock area and a new re-fueling area located just across the road will make things simpler for pit crew.
There is an enduro pay and play day on Saturday running from 10:30am until 12:30pm for those who like the non competitive side of riding.
Catering will only be on site Sunday, the usual RAW spares shop and toilets will be there during the whole weekend.
First on track Sunday morning at 8.30am are the youth classes who will run for 90 minutes. Then the adult Sportsman, Sportsman vets, Over 50, and Beginners will start at 10.30am for two hours.
At 1.15pm the more experienced Expert, Expert vets, Clubman and Clubman vets will be on track for their event.
