Remes signed in blue for 2019
By Team TMX on 20th Jan 19
Despite a very hectic off-season and a lot of team changes, a question remained, where Eero Remes would end up after the official announcement of his non-renewal at the TM Factory
Well the answer is that the reigning E2 World Champion has signed for Yamaha Johansson MPE for the 2019 season!
The Finn will represent Yamaha in EnduroGP category, although its not yet known whether he will ride the WR250F or the WR450F. It is in any case a great coup for the Swedish team managed by Joakim Johansson
In addition to Remes, the Johansson MPE team will have no fewer than six riders in 2019! Australias Wil Ruprecht is expected to be one of the big favourites for the Junior title. He is expected to ride in J1 with the 250, and he will be supported in this class by Britains Alex Walton, while the Estonian Priit Biene will represent the team in J2.
In Youth 125cc, Johansson will continue to run with Marcus Adielsson as well as adding in Hugo Svard. Finally, the team will also register a rider in the all-new Enduro Open World Cup in the form of Patrik Andersson - hell run in the veterans Over 37 years class.
We are very happy and incredibly proud to be able to present Finnish triple and reigning world champion Eero Remes as a rider in the GP-class. We have not decided which class yet, the tests of the various Yamaha models are on right now, said Joakim Johansson.
