Golden year for Galfer brakes
By Team TMX on 4th Dec 24
2024 has been a golden year for recently rebranded Spanish braking specialists Galfer who have celebrated world championship wins in enduro, trials and the Moto2 class of road racing. National titles have also been won with Galfer’s help, the most notable being Alessandro Lupino’s dominance of the Italian MX1 motocross championship on the all-new Ducati Desmo450 MX. And on the subject of new, did you know that Triumph has chosen Galfer to be the OEM supplier of brake discs for their TF450-RC? Well, you do now…
The Barcelona-based manufacturer of discs, pads and linings for bicycles and motorcycles is particularly proud of its racing heritage with the 2024 season adding a plethora of world titles to their collection.
Galfer dominated the world trials scene with Toni (Repsol Honda) and Sherco Factory Racing stars Jack Peace and Emma Bristow all relying on the ultimate stopping power that Galfer provide.
In the world of enduro, Brad Freeman (Beta) took his 10th world title as he dominated the E3 class of the EnduroGP series. The Women’s division was won by Rieju’s Mireia Badia – with a bronze medal for Brit Rosie Rowett – while in the Hard Enduro world, Mitch Brightmore (TTR Squadra Corse) took the Junior HEWC title using Galfer’s revolutionary Disc Shark discs and sintered pads.
That’s just a small portion of Galfer’s on-track success and if it works for the world’s best then it has to work for you too. And if you’re not using Galfer then what’s stopping you?
