Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia has wrapped up the 2025 FIM Enduro1 World Championship with a round to spare after a gutsy weekend at the EnduroGP of Italy.

The Spaniard arrived in Darfo Boario Terme knowing that solid points would be enough to seal the E1 crown, but Garcia didn’t play it safe – instead, he produced another trademark masterclass on Saturday. On a slick, rain-hit course littered with rocks, the KTM star was untouchable, winning 11 of the 12 tests and storming to victory in class by nearly two minutes. He also topped the overall EnduroGP standings, underlining just why he’s been the benchmark all season.

Sunday proved a tougher challenge. Carrying the effects of a heavy crash late on Saturday – which left him needing stitches in his elbow as well as nursing hip and leg injuries – Garcia gritted his teeth and battled through the pain. Despite a second crash in the same section, he dug deep to claim fourth in class and 15th in EnduroGP. Crucially, the points from Saturday’s dominant ride had already done the job, crowning him 2025 Enduro1 World Champion on his KTM 250 EXC-F.

Speaking after clinching the title, Garcia admitted it was one of the toughest weekends of his career:

“I’m really happy about the weekend, to be honest. Yesterday was an incredible day for me and I was riding super-good. Unfortunately, in the last enduro test, I had a crash, which meant I needed to get some stitches in my elbow and I injured my hip and the muscle in the leg. But I was still able to win the day. I knew today would be hard, and I still tried to give 100 percent, but another crash in the same place gave me a lot more pain for the whole day. It really was one the hardest days of racing in my life. I have really mixed emotions – obviously, I would have liked to take a better result today, but then I was able to win the Enduro1 title. We have time now to recover and then start training for the final round in Germany.”

With the E1 crown secured, Garcia now turns his attention to the EnduroGP World Championship decider in Zschopau, Germany (October 17-19). He heads into the final round holding a 15-point lead over Andrea Verona and will once again be gunning for double world honours.
