KTM Motohall Legends of the Dakar Display
By Team TMX on 6th Jun 23
A trip to the KTM Motohall in Matighofen was added to TMX’s bucket list back in 2019 when it first opened its doors and having already died once (before being revived by WW Magazines, of course) we reckon we should make the most of our second chance at life and hotfoot it over to Austria for a reet proper nosey.
Open between 9am and 6pm, Wednesday to Sunday, the KTM Motohall is a three-storey ultra-modern and interactive exhibition spread over three floors giving visitors a first-hand experience of KTM’s history, innovation and engineering prowess.
At the moment, the KTM Motohall’s special exhibit is a Legends of the Dakar doozy which chronicles KTM’s close association with the race that it grew to dominate by telling untold stories and revisiting key moments. No fewer than 10 history-making Dakar bikes are on display along with many other trinkets and trick bits including a winning trophy or two.
It’s an absolute must-see for any desert racing fan with the KTM Motohall itself a place worthy of pilgrimage for all motorsport fans. Check out ktm-motohall.com/en/ for more details.
