2008 World Sidecar-cross dates
By Alex Hodgkinson on 26th Oct 07
AFTER a gap of several years, the sidecar-cross world series returns to Britain, with Langrish set to host the 11th of 13 rounds on August Bank Holiday Monday, presumably as part of the Ken Hall Trophy weekend.
The three-wheeler calendar is also divided into groups for travelling purposes, with the Dutch opener followed by the first trip to eastern Europe in Czecho and Ukraine. Italy is linked with the first French round, which may be at Ernee, Belgium and Germany are linked and then in August there is almost non-stop action from Denmark to the Baltic states, back to Britain with the second French GP and the second German round to complete the series after one week's rest.
It would appear that the FIM have possibly not done any favours to the organisers at Langrish scheduling it after Denmark, Latvia and Estonia resulting in drivers having to take over three weeks off work if they do all four.
