A Touch Of Class: Classic Bike Show Gallery

THERE were the usual bumper crowds at the Carole Nash International Classic Motor Cycle Show held at Stafford County Showground last weekend (April 23/24) who turned out to see the plethora of bikes and bits and have their eardrums shattered by an assortment of multi-cylinder racers.

There is always plenty of off-road machinery, often tucked away behind the road and race tackle, although there is now a dedicated off-road hall that houses plenty of usually well-used and loved Pre-65 and Twinshock models.T'Owd Codgers MCC hang out in there and also provide daily Pre-65 trials demos in the little copse right outside the front door.

And if you search the jam-packed halls there's all sorts of gems waiting for you to dig them out - then there's the Bonhams auction which offers everything from boxes of rusty bits and pieces to complete rare machines that fetch hundreds of thousands of good old English ££££s.

And if you really do like searching through mountains of junk for that elusive kickstart return spring toggle cotter pin retaining clip, that is holding up that Concours restoration of your ex-works Grindley Peerless scrambler, then you can fill your boots as the outside autojumble is like HUGE!

Anyway, if you were there you know all about it, and if you weren't here's a small selection of some of the bikes for you to peruse at leisure...
