All go for Little Silver MMX
By TMX Archives on 17th Feb 09

THE recent snow and floods will not stop the first round of the Multiple Motocross Championship taking place this Sunday 22nd February with one of the strongest fields ever competing.
With both Wayne Smith and Alex Snow not contesting the Championships which they won last season, both the Open and Under 21 title chases will be wide open. Brad Anderson makes a welcome return to the Open Championship and will have to fend off challenges from the likes of PAR team-mate Gordon Crockard as well as DB Racings Nev Bradshaw and current Under 21 Champion Alex Snow on the 450 KTM UK machine.
The Under 21 series is renowned for its fierce battles and 2009 will be no different with a huge number of riders capable of winning races. Newly Kawasaki mounted Kristian Whatley has already shown his worth in this series but will have stiff competition from the likes of Matthew Moffat, Scot Elderfield and Joe Dark - you would have to be brave to put your neck on the line to pick a Championship winner in this class.

The British Ladies Championship enters its third season with a bigger entry than ever for the three round Championship. As has been the case for the past two seasons Natalie Kane will be the rider to beat but she will face some good competition. Wales' Louise Williams is fresh from a day of training with the ACU Academy and will be keen to mount a serious challenge.
Look out for the visit from the CCM Grand Prix team at round one where Tom Church and Jason Dougan will be getting in some pre-season race training. They will be joined by MX2 rider Stephen Sword aboard his KTM UK machine and MX1 rider Carl Nunn on the MVR-D Suzuki.
Brian Higgins, Track Inspector and ACU Motocross Chairman commented: "With the recent weather that the area has had I was amazed to find that the venue is in almost perfect condition for the opening round of the ever popular MMX Championship."
The circuit is located adjacent to the end of the M5 motorway near Exeter in Devon and will be well sign posted; qualifying will get underway at 9:15 with race one at 12:15.
