American King and a British Prince...

Motocross

IT was a mixture of success and disappointment for the Brits in the Westfalenhalle.

Adam Chatfield was crowned Prince of Dortmund on his first visit to Germany, Ashley Greedy joined him on the podium twice, but Jack Brunell's hopes of the ADAC Youngsters Cup quite literally crashed.

In SX1 it was America almost all the way. Kyle Chisholm became the first rider to sweep every night in the stadium since Bob Moore dominated the very first race on dirt in 1989, Jason Thomas lifted the series title, but home rider, Daniel Siegl, prevented complete domination of the podium by the Yanks with a stunning second on the final day.

While blizzards raged outside, the action was hot in the arena, and, in dire contrast to this winter's UK Indoor races, the stadium was a sell-out on all three days!
