Anderson Masters Dean Moor

PIONEER Yamaha's Brad Anderson and PAR Honda upstart Ashley Greedy dominated proceedings at round two of the Wulfsport British Masters Motocross on Sunday, both sweeping to convincing double wins at a cold, rain hit Dean Moor Moto Park high in the Cumbrian hills.
Anderson was a level above his competition in the Pro Open class and controlled both motos from the opening lap to run out a comfortable winner over PAR teamster Neville Bradshaw and Danny Smyth, while Greedy was made to recover from a terrible start in the opening Pro 125 moto for a hard fought victory before dominating the wet second moto in devastating fashion to claim the overall honours from an impressive Alex Butler and evergreen Phil Mercer.
The fast, choppy Dean Moor circuit had been superbly prepared by the hard working British Masters team and landowners for the two days of Pro, Amateur and Youth competition, but the long drive north to remote Cumbria and need for many of the usual Pro class runners to be in Frome, Somerset, for the following days MMX championship round meant that entries across the board were slightly on the low side. However, the racing superb and while much of the rest of the country was half submerged in some classic bank holiday rain, only one prolonged shower midway through Sunday hit Dean Moor and while rendering the dark, peaty soil extremely slick and wet, the track remained very much rideable.
