U2 AND the Rolling Stones are just two of the bands that have played at the famous Slane Castle in Dublin but this weekend, however, it was the turn of those magnificent men on their flying machines to keep 35,000 fans happy in round two of this year's Red Bull X-Fighters FMX world tour.

Did they do it? Too right they did.

Travis Pastrana, Ronnie Renner and Dany Torres were just three of the FMX superstars who were pulling backflips, can-can's and Indian airs inside the packed castle grounds.

Red Bull certainly know how to put on an event and Dublin was no exception. Thousands of tonnes of dirt were shipped in and moulded to such a high standard that many of the riders were saying it was the best European course they have ever seen.

Red Bull work to a theme at each round and Slane Castle was the perfect setting for a Celtic battleground including fair maidens and Celtic warriors who, quite frankly, were pretty scary looking.
