Angel Rocks' for Ryan

Rockstar Makita Suzuki's Ryan Dungey followed up his Pheonix victory with a second consecutive win at round three of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championships in Anaheim.

Dungey was on fire in the Angel Stadium where almost 32,000 fans witnessed him pull a three-second advantage over Joshua Hill to take the chequered flag with reigning Champ, James Stewart in third. Meanwhile fellow title contender, Chad Reed remained sidelined after sustaining a broken hand in Phoenix.

Dungey started the night with intent, with the fastest time in practice closely followed by Josh Hill, Justin Brayton and Stewart, who appeared to still be suffering with the effects of last weeks crash.

As the gate dropped for the start of the main race, Suzuki's Austin Stroupe hit the front to claim the holeshot with Stewart snapping at his back wheel. Within the first lap Stewart found a gap to make the pass and take the lead, with Stewart's team mate, Josh Hill following shortly to run in second. Meanwhile, Ryan Dungey didn't get the best of starts as he started the lap in seventh. However with his head down and giving 100 per cent, Dungey was able to claw his way up to fourth by the end of lap two.
