WENTY-EIGHT of the best AMCA Expert riders gathered at Boraston on Sunday to contest one of the organisation's most prestigious events of the season - the Superclass.

It was a Barrs family bonanza as Clinton blastedhis 450 Wildmoor Wulfsport Honda to overall victory, snatching the winfrom defending champion, brother Elliot, in a very thrilling finale.

Clinton set the scene for the day after postingthe fastest lap in the timed practice, with the top ten all within asecond of each other. Charlie Hollis stormed off the gate in the opening moto, leading the pack totackle the hard, dry conditions on a very fast flowing circuit. Thetrack had been freshly graded and the table-top jump modified to accommodate thiselite core of riders. Hollis led virtually to the end until arm pumptook its toll which allowed Elliot Barrs the perfect opportunity to take the lead and the win from brother Clinton and Hollis.

Elliot Barrs led the pack off the start in mototwo but was quickly overhauled by Richard-Mike Jones, making hiscomeback after a knee operation.

Lack of bike fitness however eventually forced Jones to pull over, paving the way clear for Clinton followed by Elliot and Phil Mercer, notching up a superb result for two-stroke power on his 250 Kawasaki.
