Brad rings Bel'

Motocross

Brad Anderson jumped out of the gate in the SX Final and charged to his first victory of the Futurewest ACU British Supercross Championship at the Odyssey Arena, Belfast.

With a very technical track and a home crowd pulling for the Ulster riders, Brad had his hands full to fend off of Neville Bradshaw, Martin Barr and Gordon Crockard in the early stages.

Martin Barr unfortunately lost control and went down allowing Tom Church in to the fray and he started working on Crockard for third position.

Bradshaw continued to push Anderson and the gap between the two riders was never more than a couple of bike's lengths.

A couple of errors from Brad allowed both Neville and the advancing Tom Church to close to within striking distance.

The likeable Geordie managed to hold on though to take the win from Bradshaw and Tom.

A full house at the Odssey arena witnessed some great racing between Martin Barr and Stephen Sword, who actually had to come through the Last Chance Qualifier to reach this final, however they were no match on the night for Frenchman Nicolas Aubin and Neville Bradshaw.

Swordy and Barr changed position throughout the race until Martin took an inside line on the step-on, step-off section of the track and took a sizeable lead to maintain his third position.

Aubin on the Buildbase Honda was untouchable on the night but Bradshaw kept him honest and stayed with Nicolas to the finish line, giving the South African second in both finals.
