Roger Magee has said that there was "no protest or complaint" at the Foxhill round of the Revo ACU British Motocross Championship fuelled by Gulf Race Fuels by any personnel from Hitachi KTM fuelled by Milwaukee.
Conrad Mewse received a 10-place penalty at Foxhill for "foul and unfair riding" and since then speculation has mounted on social media that the Hitachi KTM team pursued the second-race incident (aggressive pass) involving Mewse and Hitachi KTM's Isak Gifting.
Team owner Magee has now responded to those theories in the team's press release. "Despite mounting speculation on social media since the end of racing, no protest or complaint was made by any of the personnel of Hitachi KTM fuelled by Milwaukee regarding any incident in the second MX2 moto," said Magee.

Gifting also addressed the controversy in the team's press release. "I felt alright with my riding today at the British Championship," said the 21-year-old Swedish rider. "It's a shame that there was so much unprovoked drama, as neither me or the team have got anything to do with it."
Mewse has not yet released a statement or commented on it publicly.
With Mewse's penalty, Jamie Carpenter was promoted to a moto win, Tom Grimshaw second and Gifting third. With Carpenter's fourth and first place, he took the overall victory, with Gifting and team-mate Kay Karssemakers taking the podium places, while 22-year-old Mewse, who's in his last year in MX2, dropped to fifth overall.
Gifting now heads the MX2 championship standings with Mewse one point behind. Jamie Law is third and Grimshaw and Jay Hague make up fourth and fifth respectively.
The next round of the MXGB series is on May 8 at Lyng, which clashes with the Italian Grand Prix (Maggiora).
