Bubba puts Carmichael in a Stew

RICKY Carmichael closed the book on his illustrious supercross career in a thrilling and emotional final race at Orlando, Florida, last Saturday night.
But it was not the final farewell the AMA most successful ever riderwas hoping for as James Stewart spoiled the party and snatched the winafter a classic encounter between the two heavyweights of supercrossthat had the capacity Citrus Bowl crowd on its feet the entire race.
The great and the good of the US racing industry, and even GP kingStefan Everts, flocked to this final showdown and in a race that sawboth riders leave the field for dead, pushed to their limits and thelead swapped numerous times, Stewart eventually took the win by ameagre .968 of a second to deny Carmichael, who celebrated the birth oftwins the previous day, a dream send-off from supercross racing, whileChad Reed trailed in a distant third once again.
