Can Geerts pull it off?

Jago Geerts suffered an agonising defeat at the end of the 2022 season losing the MX2 crown to Tom Vialle for the second time. He approaches his final season in the class attempting to finally nail the title for Monster Energy Yamaha and if his form at the Red Bud MXoN is anything to go by, he will again have the speed if those cursed mistakes don’t deny him again.

GP winners from last year, Simon Laengenfelder and Thibault Benistant will be doing all they can to give Geerts the necessary pressure to make those dreaded crashes happen again.

Britain’s main hope, 18-year-old Joel Rizzi, won the Hawkstone International against mainly domestic opposition but looks good, fit, and confident to get into the top 10 on a regular basis. Cheer for him, people!
