Christophe Pourcel headed to Hawkstone Park for VMXdN
By Team TMX on 28th May 26
Former FIM World Champion and AMA Supercross title winner Christophe Pourcel is set to return to the VMXdN at Hawkstone Park this August Bank Holiday weekend, adding yet more star power to what is widely regarded as the standout event on the motocross calendar.
CP377 remains one of the most naturally gifted riders of his generation. Crowned FIM World Champion in 2006 - the same year he claimed the King of Bercy title - Pourcel went on to secure back-to-back East Coast Supercross championships in 2009 and 2010, cementing his place among France’s elite. No small feat in a nation that produced the likes of Jean-Michel Bayle.
Anyone who witnessed his performance at the 2025 VMXdN will need little convincing. Riding a near-standard KX250, Pourcel delivered a masterclass, taking three wins from four starts in the fiercely competitive international team race.
Now 38, he’s headed to Hawkstone Park back on the two-stroke and preparing to race the same 2001 KX250. The bike will once again be supplied and run by Turin-based Cristiano Bonacina.
For 2026, Pourcel will line up as part of an all-new team, with further details set to be announced in the coming weeks.
With just 13 weeks to go until the gate drops, anticipation is building steadily. Rider announcements are set to continue on a weekly basis as the line-up takes shape for what promises to be another unmissable edition of the event.
The four-day festival offers far more than racing alone. Fans can expect the ever-popular Show’N’Shine display, autograph sessions, a bustling trade village and a lively beer tent, creating a full weekend of entertainment ahead of the main on-track action across Saturday and Sunday.
When the racing begins, the focus shifts firmly to the track, where legends of the sport - past and present - line up to go bar-to-bar in a format that captures the spirit of motocross’s golden era.
Spectator tickets are available online and will also be on sale at the gate. However, with limited standard camping availability, those planning to stay for the weekend are advised to secure passes early. A small number of premium VIP camping spaces also remain, offering elevated views across the circuit from a prime position between the hill and the start straight.
