and Gary MacDonald wins Expert A Class...
BTC2Kinlochleven;
JAMES DABILL JSTNo1 Rider has just won the second round of the 2010 British Trials Championshipat Kinlochleven in the Scottish Highlands.
After the badweather spoilt Round 1, the good weather made Round 2superb...
The Lochaber MCC andTeam Macdonald have good experience of the venue and after initially thinkingafter the practice lap it would be too easy, it actually turned out 'perfect'for yesterdays event.
The rocks were stillquite slippy on the first lap catching quite a few ridersout.
Dibs was a littlestiff on the first few sections and had a few slack marks on the first lap. Asuperb 'clean' on the last section was needed for Dibs to take the lead afterLap 1.
He then relaxed andwas a different rider on the second lap cleaning all but one of the twelvesections. He 'fived' section 9 which was his 'bogey' section where he struggledon all three occasions. Dibs was VERY frustrated with the end of this sectionbecause he just couldnt get it right. Where he impressed me was his ability tokeep his head and focus on the very next section which was equally as tricky andhe cleaned it every lap.
With a 4 markadvantage over his pal Browny going into the last lap it was a case of 'nothingdaft' and 'making sure'. A few 'safe dabs' and finishing with another easy cleanon the last section saw Dibs as the worthy winner.
