Already an MX2 GP winner at the age of 19, rising Estonian star Gert Krestinov is preparing to wow crowds in the UK on a Kawasaki in the coming months.

Signed by Maxxis Henderson LPE Kawasaki to fill the boots of the currently injured Jordan Rose, the spectacular eastern European rider has already tested the team's KX450F at the Apex MX track in Worcester and reports himself to be "very happy” with the set up and power of the machine.

First competitive outing for Krestinov and the team will be at Landrake on 25 April in the hard fought and popular RedBull National series. Entered under his GP number 37, Gert will also run in a number of selected Grand Prix events for the official team of Kawasaki Motors UK.

Whilst conceding that finding a top quality rider after the season has started is always hard, Team Principle, Steve James, is understandably delighted to have reached an agreement with Krestinov saying:

"The whole job fitted from the word go to be honest. We wanted a top class rider that could deliver what Jordan had looked to achieve before his unfortunate accident, and Gert was very keen to join us from his training base in Holland and to get some more races under his belt.”

For Kawasaki, Racing Coordinator, Ross Burridge, focused on the Grand Prix experience that Krestinov would bring to the team, saying:

"To have a GP rider as dynamic and with the potential of Gert Krestinov with us for the season is something to relish. I'm sure the whole paddock is going to be looking out for the 37 plate from now on. We wish Gert and the team the very best of luck, and Jordan a speedy recovery”
