Doncaster to welcome British Minibike series

The inaugural British 4 Stroke Minibike Championships continues to march on with the third round of the series at the fantastic Doncaster Moto Park on Sunday 22nd July marking the mid point in the 2007 campaign. The MBP crew have once again been busy at work to create a completely new layout that will produce some fast and flowing racing at the sand based venue.
The riders are not the only ones who will benefitfrom the new track, with the bankings that surround the circuitoffering excellent and uninterrupted views for the spectators who aresure to enjoy the action as it unfolds. Entry for spectators is onceagain free, as new blood is invited to come experience this fastemerging sport.
Trevor Scott is currently the hot name on the UK minibike scene, withthe highly talented small wheel rider leading both the 88cc Pro Miniand Open Midsize classes. Scott took the overall win in these twocategories last time out, with some dominant showings at the Mildenhallround.
Another man making his mark on the series is Tommy Wright, theyoungster is another rider competing in two different classes.Wright gave Scott a good run for his money in the Open Midsize races atround two, and took the overall victory in the Superstock Midsize class.
Other riders looking to continue their form as the championship shiftsto the North of England for the first and only time on its five stoptour will be Trevor Buckley and James Mac Ferren. These two guys tookthe top honors in the remaining two categories, those being the 50ccPro Mini and the Open Minibike classes respectively, at the recentSuffolk meeting.
The status and importance of the championshipcontinues to grow, with SP Landscapes joining as a series sponsorhaving first been involved on a single meeting basis only.
SP Landscapes now sit alongside Marzocchi, through their official UKrepresentatives Solent UK Ltd, and the famous American Two Brothersbrand as three go ahead companies who have recognised the potential ofthis new and exciting championship.
