DOUGIE Lampkin made a stunning debut at the famous and prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed, with three days of amazing performances that captured the hearts of the 150,000 motorsport fans who attended this unique event. Anticipation of Lampkin's appearance at the festival was heightened following the global success of the pre-event video that showed Dougie riding through and on top of Goodwood House that boasted 100,000 views on YouTube alone.

Lampkin was given a free rein to roam the beautiful Goodwood estate near Chichester, East Sussex with the brief that everything and anything could be ridden over. Three packed days saw Dougie cover nearly every inch of the site, making impromptu performances on the many make-do obstacles that he found scattered amongst the Grand Prix racing cars.
On every occasion Lampkin was surrounded by a huge crowd, the majority of which were witnessing his skills for the first time. Doug rounded off each demonstration by using his cousin Ben as a human obstacle over which he performed his inch-perfect tricks. Ben was substituted on occasion by slightly more high profile candidates, including a terrified Alex Barros of MotoGP fame and none other than Lord March, who finally succumbed to Dougie's gentle Yorkshire persuasion during Sunday's prize presentation ceremony.
Highlights of the weekend included repeating his ‘video performance' of riding through the house and up on to the top of the roof. Even the array of F1 drivers, World rally drivers, stars of WSB, BSB and MotoGP who were present were blown away with the sheer scale and bravery of this feat alone.
Lampkin was to gain further respect and recognition as he was singled out by Lord March as the only rider / driver to be part of Saturday night's stage show that formed part of the famous Goodwood private ball and included a spectacular finale of fire and fireworks in front of 1,200 personally invited guests. The 25 minute show saw Lampkin make his entrance by jumping through a ring of fire, before wheelying through a five metre high curtain of water - all whilst wearing his dinner suit.
Lampkin topped off an extraordinary three days at the Cartier Champagne reception on Sunday afternoon, before being awarded a trophy for being the best rider/ driver of the day - on the only day when F1 star Lewis Hamilton attended the show!
Said Dougie: "This weekend ranks as one of my career highlights. It has been both an honour and pleasure to have been a part of this great event.”
