Easty Back to Reign at VMXdN Hawkstone

The name Mark Eastwood needs no introduction to British motocross fans. A stalwart of the sport, Easty has competed at the very highest levels – from Schoolboy ranks to the British Championship, GPs and even AMA Nationals – and he remains as fiercely competitive now as ever.
At VMXdN 2025 he proved exactly that, storming to victory in the Over-50 class. Now he’s coming back to Hawkstone Park for 2026 with one goal in mind - defending his crown.
The son of legendary GP campaigner Vic Eastwood, Mark inherited the family’s trademark grit and determination. On track he’s all business; off it, he’s one of the most approachable figures in the paddock. These days you’ll find him at the family Honda dealership in Swanley, while his renowned suspension company, ERS, continues to pass on decades of knowledge to the next generation. The shop also serves as an importer for Wiseco pistons – keeping plenty of race machinery running sweet across the UK scene.
For Hawkstone, Easty will line up on his favoured Honda CR250 – a meticulously prepared two-stroke that suits both his riding style and the VMXdN ethos perfectly. Expect him to be right at the sharp end when the gate drops over the August Bank Holiday weekend (27–30).
And that gate drop cannot come soon enough.
With six months still to go, anticipation for VMXdN – brought to you by The Range – is already building fast. The most talked-about race on the British MX calendar continues to attract legends past and present from around the globe, all ready to go bar-to-bar in true ’90s motocross fashion.
Promoters Rob ‘DocWob’ Walters and Dave King are urging fans planning to camp to secure passes as soon as possible. Camping spaces are limited and traditionally sell out well ahead of race week.
Make the most of the Bank Holiday atmosphere as the festivities begin when the gates open at 12 noon on Thursday, August 27. With the ever-popular Show’N’Shine display, autograph sessions, a packed trade village and a lively beer tent, there’s plenty happening before racing fires into life on Saturday, August 29.
VMXdN Hawkstone isn’t just a race meeting – it’s a celebration of motocross heritage, noise and nostalgia.
