Enduro International Indoor to be held in Genoa

The second round for the Enduro Indoor World Cup will be held on the 24th January.

The Enduro Indoor, arecently-conceived spectacular new competition, concentrates the passion,strength and all the usual mix of emotions associated with this sport in anindoor circuit. It replaces the traditional natural tracks, which thoughexciting, are not always accessible to the generalpublic.

Once againit is the mythic Genoa Palasport Feria which will house a circuit created toreproduce the difficulties and extreme situations which the drivers face in thetraditional Enduro competitions. The indoor competition is eagerly awaited byfans, as it lets us closely follow the best drivers whilst we are seated in thestands or walking around in the paddock, which the public are allowed to enteron the day of the competition.

The mainchallenge will be the fight for the leadership in the general classification forthe World Cup. In the first round in Barcelona, Iván Cervantes (KTM) won two out ofthe three finals in each trial according to the official requirements of thechampionship. Those who undoubtedly gave the Spaniard  a run for his money werethe Pole, Tadeusz Blazusiak (KTM), and the Finn Mika Ahola (HM-Honda), as wellas the Spanish Xavier Galindo (KTM). Among the outstanding Italians, ThomasOldrati (KTM) hopes to win in one of the three finals, as he did in Barcelona, seeking acontinuity and constancy of results which will move him up in the generalclassification. With him will be Alessandro Botturi and Fabio Mossini, who willcertainly be looking for great results in the GenoaEnduro.

The eventwill also include two additional competitions in the main programme based on theWorld Cup Trial. The title of European Junior Champion will be fought for in the "UEM Goldentyre Junior Cup”, a competition for young drivers less than 23 yearsold, and which will be one single trial in the Genoa event. The excitement is also guaranteedby the presence of the KTM trophy. Finally, the main event of the night willconsist of the three finals set by the competition, with the best Enduro driverscompeting one against the other, head to head, overcoming different natural andartificial obstacles, and keeping the public on its toes. And who knows?Anything could happen!

 

ThePalasport will open its doors from 15.45 and the entrance fee for the show willbe 35 euros.
