Commercial development Partner 2007 Maxxis British Motocross Championship
G2F is delighted to announce its appointment as the company that will be exclusively responsible for the commercial development of the 2007 ACU Maxxis British Motocross Championship. Following the submission of an initial proposal and subsequent meetings, G2F was chosen by the Britain's official motorcycle governing body, namely the Auto Cycle Union, as the party who will be charged with recruiting investment into the series in order to achieve the longer term goal of raising and improving the profile of the country's premier dirt based championship.
This recent appointment further reinforces G2F increasing importance as a specialist supplier of commercial, media and organisational services in the off road motorcycling sector both in the UK and throughout the World. G2F's clients already include the World motorcycling governing body, namely the FIM, Honda, EMAP and multi World trials champion Dougie Lampkin to mention but a few.
G2F's pedigree, proven track record and long understanding of the off road motorcycle sector were among the key elements that gave the ACU the confidence to appoint them in this prestigious and highly sought after role. Although the initial agreement between the two parties covers only 2007, both the ACU and G2F are focussed on using this debut collaboration to create the foundations for a much longer partnership.
Working closely in conjunction with the ACU and reporting directly to Championship Series Manager Brian Higgins, G2F will look to extend established relationships with existing associated sponsors as well as opening negotiations with potential new partners. G2F and the ACU, will also be working together with the individual organising clubs to provide assistance to ensure improved levels of consistency and continuity in terms of promotion and presentation throughout the eight round 2007 series.
Commenting on G2F's appointment, Championship Series Manager Brian Higgins spoke on behalf of the ACU. "We are very pleased to have G2F on board, as we feel that they will bring a real benefit to the championship. Their knowledge of, and their background in the off road industry means that they fully understand and are more than equipped for the challenges that lay ahead of them. Our hope is that from this initial agreement, we can enjoy an extended period of working with G2F that will help shape the future of what is one of the most prestigious domestic motocross championships anywhere in the World.”
Speaking about the agreement, Jake Miller of G2F commented. "It is a great privilege to have been appointed by the ACU for this role. As with most of the projects in which we get involved, we are really keen to prove our initial worth so that everyone with a vested interest can reap the rewards over the continued and longer term, rather than concentrating purely on the short term gains. We are aware of the task that lies ahead, but we have a great team who have the correct expertise to ensure that we succeed in achieving the mutual targets that have been set. With this very much in mind we are keen to hit the floor running, and to get on with the job in hand with immediate effect.”
