Going out in style
By TMX Archives on 7th Oct 09

THE MC Federation finished its championship season on a high at Culham at the weekend, as once again the kids of the Red Bull Elite Youth Cup and the hard charging two-stroke racers of the Fuchs-Silkolene British Two-stroke championship put on a great show.
The combined final rounds of both series drew 300 riders to fill a stacked-out weekend programme, with the two-stroke riders hitting the circuit on Saturday for their three races alongside two for the Youth riders before the youngsters finished their series with three further races on the Sunday along with the Girlracer Women's nationals and a support class.
To add further to the atmosphere, the MCF also laid on the final series presentations for all three series and once again the giant TV screen was in action and the music and commentary cranked up. Live coverage of the MX des Nations graced the screen on Sunday.
The circuit had been prepared all week and was in prime condition with new jumps, sections, and with more lines than an etch-a-sketch. Even the strong winds couldn't dry the circuit and it made for some awesome racing as the championships were decided.
