Grand Slam for MCF
By TMX Archives on 9th Sep 15
The MCF would like to say a massive thank-you to every single rider, family member, friend, official and supporter, at the Grand Slam and Team Event over the weekend.
It was everything motocross is about – passion, excitement, camaraderie and competitiveness.
While South Somerset took home the overall team trophy, it was an incredibly hard fought battle.
Every club made a huge effort to look the part, from flags and banners to full kits and wigs.
Walking around the paddock there were snacks and drinks available for riders at team tents, team managers were helping spanner for riders and the MCF even heard of teams buying parts for riders' bikes which had fallen victim to the Culham
track.
All of these efforts underpin the ethos of the MCF.
The MCF has come a long long way since the first team event – from having three clubs five years ago at Foxhill in 2010, to now having ten clubs turn up at Culham with 329 riders and over 1,000 supporters.
Congratulations to South Somerset, which has been with the MCF from the start and here's looking forward to next year.
Judging by past events, the Team Event and Grand Slam is set for huge things in 2016.
