Hooley, hooray la la la...

AFTER suffering a seized motor at Venray in Holland and punctures at Chateau Renard in France, Mark Hooley responded by blasting his Servo Racing KTM to a glorious overall win in Italy on Sunday during round four of the IMBA 125cc European Motocross Championship.
Not only was this a magnificent result, but also atrue test of stamina as the Lanciano circuit, east of Rome, was bakedby scorching 42 degree centigrade temperatures. Of the four other Britsmaking the marathon trip to Lanciano, they all performed superbly inthe soaring heat with Phil Mercer (Delkevic Kawasaki) fifth overall,Lee Dunham (MotoExtreme Kawasaki) sixth, Brad O'Leary (FotoX AMS KTM)13th and James Lane (Honda Equipe) 17th. Typical of the fantastic teamspirit which exists within the British IMBA team, Mike Dunhamgenerously transported Brad's bike to Lanciano, thus allowing O'Learyto fly to Italy and reduce his time spent away from work.
On the typical hard-pack Italian track, litteredwith massive jumps, it was Mark Hooley who grabbed the moto oneholeshot while behind him was a great tussle for second spot featuringhome favourite Graziano Pevefieri, series leader Michal Votroubek andJames Lane.
