Hospital surprise for champion Tanisha

TANISHA Thomas, the 2015 Scott Amateur Nationals Ladies champion, received her trophy in a surprise presentation at Heath Hospital, Cardiff.
Tanisha, who's recovering from surgery to remove a tumour from her spine, couldn't get to the International Dirt Bike Show for the official presentation so series promoter Darren Hudson and his team hit the road to make sure she didn't miss out.
"I was well surprised and couldn't believe what I was seeing,” she said. "It was such an amazing feeling to see the podium – I got all emotional as they did it all for me.”
The positive news is that the fast Welshwoman is making great progress and is determined to resume racing.
"I'm feeling amazing, my walking is starting to come along slowly and I'll get there.
"My aim is to get back on the start line as soon as possible and I'd like to say a big thanks to Darren and the crew, dad, Liz, Dean and everyone who's supported and helped me through this. Thank you so much.”
