Trials Torque: Ready To Rumble

Motocross

LAST week we took a look at some of the British trials series dates in the calendar as released by the ACU and this week we look at some more, namely the S3 Parts Clubman and the Normandale and Sammy Miller series.

The popular nine round S3 Parts Clubman National series is basically northern based although it kicks-off with the North Berks club's excellent Wallace Cup followed by the Stratford club's Colmore Cup. Hillsborough's Jack Wood and Llangollen's Lomax make an excellent Easter double at the end of March.

One date that will change is the Westmorland club's Astley Cup which is penned for Sunday, July 17, which clashes with the British World Round just 20 miles away in the same centre.

The ACU and the club are looking at a remedy for this.

Also comprising nine rounds is the Normandale Traditional series which is more southerly-biased starting out in the south east(ish) before taking in a couple of weekend doubles in the west country.

Classes include Pre-75 British, Air-cooled mono, Twin-shock and Over 40, 50 and 60 on modern bikes.

The Sammy Miller British Bike series then comprises five rounds with a Midlands flavour, although it starts out in the west country and also takes in a trip to the Isle of Man for variety.

Full Regs for all series classes on the ACU website.
