IMBA men into action
By Mike Wood on 31st May 17
This weekend the 2017 IMBA MX2 European Championship kicks off with the AMCA sending one of its strongest teams for several years to contest the opening round
It's certainly going to be a tough start though for the Team AMCA Great Britain lads as they travel to the axle-deep sand of Sint Anthonis in Holland. Flying the flag will be Josh Waterman, Ray Rowson, Jack Cox, Jack Gardner, Bradley Tranter and Cory McShane but Lewis King – who was runner-up in 2015 – looks like missing this event due to an elbow injury.
Naturally, the Dutch are always strong in their own backyard so the Brits will be looking to bag as many points as possible and give themselves a great chance of glory once the seven-round series returns to more familiar hard-pack terrain.
Merthyr MXC member McShane joins the elite club of Welsh riders to be selected to represent Great Britain and he'd like to say a massive thank you to sponsors Mounters UK KTM, Mark Jones Training School, SMPro Wheels, DM3 Racing, Fox Head Europe, Decade, DBMX, J4M54 and ESP for their support.
