Its time to get those air-horns and Union Jack flags at the ready as Cannock MXC hosts the British round of the IMBA European Championship on Sunday at its Lower Drayton circuit in Staffordshire.

In the IMBA MX1 series its the first of six rounds and the championship will also take in visits to the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland.

For the opener Team AMCA Great Britain will certainly be fielding a very strong side as Andrew Smart, Gary Gibson, James Dodd, Paul Neale, Shane Carless and Josh Waterman have already confirmed their entries.

In MX2 its the second event of a seven-round series and the GB lads will certainly be looking for a repeat of the results generated during the opener held in France.

At that meeting it was a total British podium blitz with defending IMBA MX2 European Champion Ray Rowson taking the win from Luke Burton and Lewis King.

For the home round this Sunday those three aces will be joined on the start grid by Jack Gardner and Matt Ridgway. The riders get three 20-minute motos each so get behind the GB lads on Sunday and hopefully cheer them on to yet more IMBA European Championship success!

Making it a quality day of motocross, supporting the IMBA action will be Britains fastest ladies who are contesting round six of the BWMA Westermans British Womens Motocross Championship and round five of the AMCA Sidecar Championship.

The Lower Drayton circuit will be signposted from J13 of the M6 and Penkridge town centre. Postcode is ST19 5RE.
