The year 2012 will go down in history as the year KTM achieved the unimaginable by winning the FIM MX1, MX2 and MX3 World MX Championship titles. In MX2 it was tearaway teenager Jeffrey Herlings who led the way, clinching the title with a round to go. And TMX with Paul Malin in the hot seat got to ride the champs factory KTM...

In the world of off-road it's fair to say that KTM have got used to winning, as shown by no fewer than nine world titles in the last 12 years in MX2.

This year, 17-year-old Dutch wonderkid Jeffrey Herlings added his name to that impressive list, winning 18 of the 32 motos on offer.

And it's easy to see why.

Okay, he may have got himself into a bit of trouble along the way and that may not have been to everyone's liking.

Some even say that his
character and temperament spiced things up a bit and kept things more than a little interesting.

But whether you like him or not, one simple fact remains – he is an excellent rider with a will and a desire to succeed on the world stage.
