Jack’s BEC on form
By TMX Archives on 15th Apr 15
Jack Edmondsons recent trip to the BEC in Scotland certainly left him on top form as he obliterated all opposition in the third and final race of the day last Sunday at Ashby de la Zouche.
Jacko was on it from start to finish and rode a perfect race, even Fast Eddy was impressed and it was clear to see how Jacko has improved over the past few months.
Eastern Old Parks Farm was the setting for the third round of the Rock Oil XC Championship, organised by Fast Eddy Racing. Finally the weather was dry following a string of wet events and the course was in cracking shape for the three races throughout the day.
Plenty of open fields were balanced by technical woodland sections, which had a few muddy bits scattered throughout and riders were treated to possibly the best layout ever witnessed at Ashby.
The day got underway with the ever-popular Youth race. Callum Sedgwick and Harry Edmondson banged bars into the first left-hander with Sedgwick out in front by the next turn.
Young Edmondson soon took control and headed the field as Henry Yardley and Cole Cookland fought for second place.
Yardley was in the same class as leader Edmondson, BW85-150cc, while Cookland was on a SW85cc but put in the ride of his life to eventually take second overall and win his class at the same time.
Yardley took third overall and second in class with James Palmer climbing to third in the 85-150's.
