Every time I surf social media I seem to be bombarded with inspirational stories of one sort or another so its great to come across a story that is genuinely inspiring.

But the 19-year-old refused to give in and after a year getting back up to speed on a fully adapted bike he'll be competing in the 2015 South Somerset MX club championship with an MCF licence arranged by Roy Barton.

"If it wasn't for my family and friends I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am today,” he said.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my 2015 sponsors for making me able to achieve my goals.

"Funasset Software, a local company to me, have helped out for the past two years and continue with their great support. I have recently changed my bike to a 250 SX-F and without Funasset Software I certainly wouldn't have been able to do this.

"I would also like to thank Crescent Motorcycles for doing me such a fantastic deal on my new bike and Rick Forte for doing such an amazing job of my new adapted frame.”

Spencer would also say a big thank you to: Dirtbikebitz, Fraser Anti-Static, Totally Sports Insurance, Pro Carbon Racing, Duck Smart, Hill Power Racing, DQMX Dunlop, Phoenix Tools, All Vehicle Logistics, Connectrix Electrical Ltd, Dingle & Way Contractors Ltd, 1st Choice Finishes Exeter, Exeter Disability Centre, Rip N Roll, South West Smart Repair, AS3 Performance, Amped Graphics and Wheeldon Off Road Centre.

"I cannot thank everyone enough for all the help that has been given to me over the past year,” added Spencer. "It means a lot and let's hope for some good results in 2015.”
