Jake Shipton on sealing the Bridgestone British Masters title
By Team TMX on 7th Sep 19
Congratulations to Crescent Yamaha rider Jake Shipton who sewed up the Bridgestone British Masters MX1 title on Sunday at Cusses Gorse with a pair of solid third-placed finishes giving him the championship by 24 points.
Jakes result makes it a clean sweep of the Masters Pro titles for the Dorset-based dealer after his team-mate Martin Barr won the MX2 title.
Im really happy, said Jake. I never thought Id be in this position so to be consistent throughout the whole series was pretty good. I was on the podium every single round. This year Ive been working on consistency and there have been more ups than downs which is a positive.
It feels great and its good to give something back to Paul [Denning] from Crescent as well. Hes supported me for four or five years and he was there to see it so it was pretty cool.
Jakes still finalising his plans for 2020 but hopes to be able to release some news in the next couple of days.
