Jarvis is Sher class
By TMX Archives on 25th May 07
NEVER quite at his best in the recent Scottish Six Days Trial, Graham Jarvis got everything right at Sunday's 75th East South Wales Centre's Mitchell Trial, where he recorded his third championship win from three rounds of the 2007 Colin Appleyard sponsored British Solo Trials Championship, on the Llwyclyn Farm course near the historically famous Cwmyoy Village.
Collecting six marks in five sections in his firstof three laps, Jarvis rode 11 sections clean on lap two but added threeon section five where he rode clean on his first and third circuits, and almost did the impossible on lap three, with a one mark loss onsection six where apart from his main challenger Shaun Morris - whorecorded one mark on lap one and cleaned the same section on laps twoand three - no other championship riders cleaned the hazards on anyother three visits.
A double figure first lap put Gas Gas-ridingMorris at an immediate disadvantage, but a superb three mark second lapclosed the gap slightly on the Sherco four-stroke mounted reigningBritish Champ. At least it did until Shaun's only failure on thetwisting climb over rocks on section ten on his final circuit left himfar behind Jarvis but still claimed his third consecutive runner-upspot of the series.
In what is increasingly looking like deja vu,Shaun again finished ahead of consistently third finishing MichaelBrown on the TTT Beta who had his only failure on that awesome sectionsix first time round but who unfortunately had his feet on the floortoo many times.
