ON Sunday, the Remedies Bar Motocross contenders made their way down to Cornwall to one of the premier tracks in the country, Landrake Moto Parc, near Saltash, for round 14 in the 16-round series.
As usual, the track was in prime condition andwith a little drizzle in the air at times it produced some quick andentertaining racing.
It proved to be a good day for Championship leaderJohn May in Expert Open as he increased his advantage in the titlechase to 74 points. However, May had to be at his best to hold off avery fired up Jamie Skuse who is riding on top form at the moment.
Skuse led the first moto in the early stages onlyto be hunted down by May. However, a mistake from May on lap five letSkuse get away and he went on to take the win. George Davis had a realtussle with Arran Poolman, eventually claiming third.
May ran out the winner in the other two races withSkuse again pushing him, especially in race two after a relatively poorstart. Un-daunted, Skuse was the quickest rider on track and fought hisway up through the field. Time was against him, though, and he finisheda brilliant second.
