KTM's Jonathan Barragan injured in training

KTM Spain has reported that KTM MX1 factory rider Jonathan Barragan has been injured in a training accident this week. Barragan, who rides for Team Silver Action is one of the top riders in the current MX1 World Championship.
Barragan sustained two cracked ribs and during the course of the operation thatfollowed, doctors also had to remove his spleen. He is now out of intensive careand now faces a period of recovery time. It is not yet know when he will be ableto return to racing.
Currently third in the world championshipstandings, the talented Barragan was a definite title contender for the 2009season.
The entire KTM international family wishes Jonathan all thebest and looks forward to him being "Ready to Race" when he has fully recoveredhis health and fitness.
