Laia signs for Gas Gas

Eleven-times Ladies World Trials Champion Laia Sanz has sensationally quit the Repsol Montesa factory team - and signed for Spanish rival factory Gas Gas!
TMX sources in Spain confirm that Laia reached agreement and signed during a recent factory visit and is expected to contest the 2012 World Championship on a Gas Gas two-stroke.
It is understood that Laia left Montesa after being unable to reach agreement about her enduro riding career. Laia has contested the World Enduro Championship this year and also competed in her first Dakar Rallye in South America. This was a very successful debut as she not only took the Ladies prize but also rose up the overall rankings impressively as the race progressed.
